William Lessard
President & Creative Director

Author, communications professional and tech guru, William Lessard has over ten years’ experience working with major consumer brands. He specializes in digital and interactive entertainment properties, particularly video games and convergence products that explore the media possibilities of new technology.

Among his clients, Mr. Lessard has worked with iGames.org, the world’s leading game center organization, on launch campaigns for LucasArts, Electronic Arts and Vivendi Universal Games. In September 2004, he managed all the marketing and communications for iGames Expo (www.igamesexpo.com), the first major videogames tournament and trade show ever to take place in New York City . In addition to thousands of games enthusiasts, the event was attended by key consumer and trade journalists from The New York Times, Slate, CNBC, G4/Tech TV, The Daily News, ABC News and Time Out New York. More recent clients have included Nickelodeon.


Prior to PRwB, Mr. Lessard was a Senior Account Executive at Cataldi Public Relations (www.cataldipr.com), a New York City-based boutique with clients ranging from WWE, FUSE and Dewar’s to 1-800-Flowers.com, AMC, the YES! Network and Sony Digital.

He is also the co-author of NetSlaves: True Tales of Working the Web and NetSlaves 2.0. The former, translated into over 7 languages, was named a “Best Business Book of the Year” by both Library Journal and The Industry Standard. Mr. Lessard has contributed to Business 2.0, Wired, the San Francisco Chronicle and National Public Radio and has been interviewed by The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, MSNBC, Time magazine, Vanity Fair, and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

Mr. Lessard began his career at Prodigy Services and has held marketing and communications positions at Time-Warner and UBS AG. He holds a Master’s Degree in English and American Literature and graduated with honors from New York University, with a B.A. in English and American Literature and a minor in Spanish Language and Literature.
